Thank you for your interest in the Community Food Leader Certificate Program!
Program Timeline: May 2018 - December 2018

Application Deadline: Friday, April 20th, 2018

The Community Food Leader (CFL) Certificate Program is a professional development opportunity for staff of community-based organizations who want to increase food security in their region. Preference will be given to non-profit organizations and local businesses with a social impact focus. Participants will work on a food initiative throughout the program, supported by the community food coordinator in their region. To get the most out of this program, participants are required to attend each monthly training session and apply learnings to existing or new food projects throughout the duration of the CFL program. If you haven’t yet, please check out before applying, including the Frequently Asked Questions Document found on the website.

We encourage applications from traditionally underrepresented groups such as women, visible minorities, First Nations, and persons with disabilities. Diversity in our community is a strength that must be cultivated. CFL team members and participants are expected to foster a culture that embraces and promotes diversity.

There is limited space in the program. The following will help us learn more about your interest, and help both The Our Food Project and applicants understand if this program is the right fit.*
